Rezia Cumbi, is a Biologist and holds Postgraduate degrees in Natural Resources Management from Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique. She was working for the Goverment for 15 years and working at National Administration Of Conservation Areas (ANAC) for 6 years.
She Coordinates the licensing of wildlife hunting activity, as well as tourism in conservation areas. Also she advise on implementation of projects in conservation areas and buffers zones, check their alignment with the strategic plan of ANAC, the Government Five-Year Plan and also verify the projects in the areas proposed to avoid overlap.
She also assists the conservation areas teams (field teams), evaluate and report the Provincial network activities, annual planning of wildlife activities, design programs for training people. She also worked at wildlife Department, dealing with wildlife management out of Conservation areas, responsible for the human wildlife conflict in Mozambique mainly crocodile, elephant, hippos, lions, buffalos and monthly, reported the situation in all country. Its also her role to identify sustainable business for conservation areas.
