Rory MacDonagh is a Director at Conservation Capital, an organisation dedicated to designing and developing active linkages between biodiversity conservation and restoration, mainstream commercial enterprise, and the international capital markets. Conservation Capital has supported the development of more than 100 high-impact transactions in 45 countries with a combined capital investment value approaching US$ 500 million – mainly in Africa. Rory has managed multiple projects from Scotland to Zambia focusing predominantly on collaborating with his clients to develop conservation area business plans and progressive financing strategies. Rory started his career in management consultancy before moving to the UK’s largest water company to set up a new ventures business. He holds an MSc from Bayes Business School and a BA from King’s College London and was the UK’s Young Consultant of the Year Winner 2019.
